Waipipi Fishing Competition Jan 2016
Waipipi Beach hosted its first fishing competition last weekend and is pleased to say it was a great success. We had some excited competitors, great catches and beautiful weather to make a perfect weekend of fishing.
We had over 80 surf casters and 20 boats enter to win the many great spot prizes and the $7,500 cash pool, which was generously given by our numerous sponsors.
The winners of each category are as follows –
- Open Country’s Boat Fishing Category Winner – Regan Schrader 7.24Kgs
- Farmlands Surf Casting Snapper Category Winner – Allan Dodd 5.53Kgs
